A judge in Boulder imposed the maximum sentence on the man who shot and killed 10 people in a grocery store in 2021.

Jurors rejected the argument that Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa was mentally unfit when he shot and killed 10 shoppers at a King Soopers grocery store in Boulder, Colo., in March 2021, and a judge sentenced him to life in prison on Monday.

Those convictions include the first-degree murder of ten people, including a Boulder police officer who stormed the store when called to the scene.
