Everybody said goodbye to Oakland Athletics baseball in their own way Thursday afternoon. After 57 seasons at the Coliseum -- and decades of indecision and vitriol swirling around the team's future -- the A's played their final game in Oakland in front of a massive crowd on a bright and gorgeous Bay Area afternoon.

In an emotional farewell to the city of Oakland, the Athletics secured a 3-2 victory over the Texas Rangers on Thursday in front of a sold-out crowd at the Coliseum, marking the end of their 57 seasons at the iconic stadium.

Supporters stole away to be here for the matinee finale, a sellout crowd of 46,889 seeing one last win in the much maligned but loved A's home, 3-2 over the Rangers.
