Everybody said goodbye to Oakland Athletics baseball in their own way Thursday afternoon. After 57 seasons at the Coliseum -- and decades of indecision and vitriol swirling around the team's future -- the A's played their final game in Oakland in front of a massive crowd on a bright and gorgeous Bay Area afternoon.

In an emotional farewell to the city of Oakland, the Athletics secured a 3-2 victory over the Texas Rangers on Thursday in front of a sold-out crowd at the Coliseum, marking the end of their 57 seasons at the iconic stadium.

Major League Baseball isn’t in Oakland anymore. The Oakland Athletics now cease to be ‘Oakland’s Athletics’ after Thursday’s matinee game against the Texas Rangers. It was the final game in the coliseum.
