The App State Mountaineers took a tough 48-14 loss in their Sun Belt Conference opener against South Alabama, but that didn't stop one of their dedicated fans from picking up the pieces when nobody else felt compelled to.

Coaches often talk of the need to run the ball effectively to win, but good offenses take what opposing defenses give them. And few defenses have been as “giving” in the passing game as South Alabama and Appalachian State.
