The estranged husband of the woman, Mahalakshmi, said that she had an illicit relationship with a man, identified as Ashraf, and that he may have been involved in the gruesome murder.

Hemant Das, the deceaseds husband, on Monday, said that the family is taking the ashes of Mahalaxmis body to immerse in Rameshwaram in Tamil Nadu.

The police discovered a blue suitcase near the fridge where the woman's dismembered body was found. They are investigating whether the suspect intended to move the body or if it was brought from another location.

A 29-year-old woman was found murdered in her Vyalikaval home in Bengaluru, with her body dismembered into close to 50 pieces and stored in a refrigerator. The incident came to light on Saturday after the neighbours noticed a foul smell from the single-bedroom apartment and alerted her family.
