New Jersey Devils' head coach Sheldon Keefe has provided an update on some of the injuries that have happened over the last week of training camp.

New Jersey Devils new head coach Sheldon Keefe has been so focused on getting training camp underway and his team onto winning some games in the preseason that he was unaware he could have landed in hot water outside of the rink.

Keefe set the tone in training camp that he wanted his team to give maximum effort at all times on the ice. When the Devils didn’t play to his expectations in their 5-3 loss to the Capitals at Prudential Center on Wednesday, he called them out, even singling out the top forward line.

"When we go to work, we work. I ask you for an hour a day," Fitzgerald said. "You should be able to handle a very crisp skate in March after four (games) in five (days). It is a mindset. That's where I would like to get to. I want the game to be easy for our players. The only way to do that is to get into the best possible shape we can be."

It’s just the preseason, but New Jersey Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe was not happy with his teams effort on Wednesday. The Devils opted to played a heavier NHL lineup as opposed to Tuesday in Montreal.
