Jonathan Ramos, 16, was hit by a pickup on Sept. 19 as he was riding his e-bike on Mission Road near Knoll Road. The driver then fled the scene.

Instead of cuddling with his dog, 16-year-old hit-and-run victim Jonathan Ramos was holding on to life Wednesday at Palomar Hospital.

Alan Edmundo Reyes, 23, was arrested Monday after turning himself in at the San Marcos sheriff’s station, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department. He was booked into county jail in Vista on suspicion of hit-and-run and reckless driving resulting in injury.

A suspect has been arrested in a hit-and-run collision that seriously injured a teenager riding an e-bike earlier this month in San Marcos.
