Save Mount Diablo said they got the information from wildlife biologist Joseph Belli, who volunteers for the California condor recovery program at Pinnacles National Park. He also works closely with Save Mount Diablo and pays special attention to birds ranging up and down the Diablo Range.

California condors are moving farther into the East Bay according to a conservation group that tracked seven of the endangered birds flying over Alameda and Contra Costa counties last month.

Police are investigating an attempted robbery that left a man with a gunshot wound in a parking lot at South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa Sunday night. KTLA's Sara Welch hears from witnesses and some who helped at the scene.
